Healthcare · Hardware prototype
Listening,
made visible.
A wireless stethoscope and a companion interface for exploring heart sounds.

What if listening didn’t
require a wire?
In 2020, watching my father work on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic brought a practical problem into focus: conventional stethoscopes are difficult to use while wearing protective equipment.
That observation led me to build a wireless stethoscope prototype. I wanted to explore a connected workflow for capturing heart sounds and making those recordings easier to see and review.

A visual companion
to listening.
The companion interface displays captured heart sounds as waveforms. Viewing the signal over time offers another way to explore the rhythm and structure of a recording alongside the audio itself.
This work is a hardware and visualization prototype. It documents an exploration of wireless listening and signal presentation; it does not establish clinical diagnostic performance.

An ongoing interest
Technology, closer to people.
This project continues to shape my interest in intelligent healthcare and in tools that connect useful computation with everyday needs.
